of birdbooks, binoculars and gift items.
We have bird Id cd's and books for a wide range of ages
and bird-watching skills. Our children's department has
many fun items including Audubon toy birds with real
bird calls, (sounds provided by Cornell Lab of Ornithology).
Look over our beautiful wildlife Tshirts and assorted
puzzles, mugs, magnets, and notecards, and posters.
With a membership in the British Columbia Waterfowl
Society, there is a 10% discount on purchases in the
gift shop, and your dollars help support the management
of the Sanctuary and our habitat conservation initiatives.
The gift shop features different materials from season
to season, but look also for some of our special merchandise.
Mary Burns' book The Private Eye: Observing Snow
Geese is popular and features stories about
the lesser snow geese that visit the Sanctuary. There
are signed copies available while supplies last. Our
annual Sanctuary calendar is available every
fall and is created using contributed photos from our
visiting members. The Waterbirds of the Strait of
Georgia is a handy 48-page pocket guide published
by our Society with the support of MacMillan Bloedel
and sells for only $5.95.
